Attend a Virtual Meeting
To attend a virtual meeting, you need a device with audio capabilities and be able to connect to the Internet. A computer works best, but an iPad or smartphone works also. If you wish to make a comment during the public comment section of the meeting, your computer will also need a mic and it needs to be turned on. NOTE: some meetings do not allow comments, these meetings are watch-only.
We use the Zoom platform for our meetings. If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to download the application when you click on the link to go to the meeting. We suggest when you sign in to use an email and password, not Facebook or Google.
New to Zoom? For a Zoom tutorial go to https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting.
Public Participation
To participate during the public part of the meeting, click on the raise your hand icon. Depending on your computer, this can be found on the top right under "more" or on the bottom menu under participants. The meeting administrator will call on you and then you will be live and you may begin to speak. Just as in our meetings in Town Hall you will state your name and address. You must have signed in to the meeting using your name to be acknowledged to speak. Alias will not be called on.
