A Kind of Place I'd Like to Call Perfect...

This here land is oh so clean.
As is every mountain stream.
A morning explosion of flame and light,
Greets me after a starry night.
As I walk down rocky paths.
Black birds take their morning baths.
Why this land is oh so great,
Pollute and you shall see its fate.
As crispy leave fall to the ground,
Crunch, brown pincones tumble down.
A cautious bear steps and looks around,
Oh these birds make such pretty sounds.
I hear school bells begin to ring.
They make a sweet ring-a-ding-a-ling.
In this great land I love to live,
With so many trees with shade to give.
Our township has such beautiful lands.
Let's hope that Wantage is in God's hands.

Aplace to have fun,
A place to make new friends,
And a place to play.
Wantage is a place to grow old,
And a place to raise the young,
Most of all, Wantage is a place to call Home.
